Below is a selection of frequently asked questions, which we hope will help to answer some of the common question we recieve from our clients. If you can find an answer to you question here, please use our contact us form or ring to speak to one of our specialist travel consultants.

Bookings & Payments
* What deposit do I need to pay at the time of booking and do you charge for payments with credit cards?

The deposit is £150 per person, or 50% of the tour cost (which ever is less).

All flights must be paid in full at the time of booking

Balance payments made by credit card (e.g. MasterCard, Visa Credit) and non-UK debit cards are subject to a 2% transaction charge. There is no transaction charge if you pay by UK debit card (e.g. Maestro, Visa Debit).

* When do I have to pay for my holiday in full?

The balance is required no later than 61 days before departure. If you are due to travel within 61 days of making the booking, payment is required in full when you book your holiday.

* How can I pay my balance?

We accept payments by cheque, bankers draft, bank transfer, or by debit/credit card.

Paying by Debit/Credit Card
Please contact us by telephone (0845 130 4849; +44 845 1304849) with your credit card details.
Help us prevent credit card fraud. Do not send your credit card information to us by email. Unfortunately we cannot accept card payments from all countries.
All credit card payments are subject to a 2% surcharge. We need to know the address the card is registered to (this should be the same as on your booking form), and are not able to accept card payments from a third party on your behalf.

Paying by Bank Transfer
You can make a direct transfer from your account to our Trust Account. Please ensure that you cover any associated charges. Please give your surname or booking ID as a reference if possible, and contact us to inform us when you have made this transfer so that we can look out for your paymen

* How can I be sure that my money is safe with you?

Your Financial Security:
Our membership with the Travel Trust Association gives our customers 100% financial protection as all funds sent to us are held in a designated Trust Account, which is supervised by an independent trustee (who is a banker, chartered or certified accountant, or solicitor) approved by the Travel Trust Association. We comply with the 1992 European regulations relating to Package Travel, Package holidays and Package Tours. Your funds are held in this account and may not be released to us until you complete your holiday. Your payment to us is also covered by a fidelity policy, which works under the umbrella of the Travel Trust Association.

* Why do I have to pay more for my holiday if I am a single traveller?

Most hotels around the world charge more per person for a single-occupancy room that for a shared twin room because the cost of maintaining a room for one person can be almost as high as it is for two. In addition, many single-occupancy rooms are the same as twin / double rooms.

* I want to travel with my family and children - can I do this on your tours?

Absolutely! We are the experts in creating the perfect family holiday and have some inspirational family itineraries.

* Why don't you include international flights with your tours as standard?

We are happy to arrange flights (and hold an ATOL to protect all bookings made) but there are several reasons that we don't include them as standard:

  • Our customers are from all over the world, including the UK, USA, China and Australia therefore we'd have so many prices to display, it may be confusing. 
  • Some customers join our tours when they are already in the country
  • Some customers would rather arrange their own flights as they have more flexibility, deciding which airline you might prefer to book with, where you want to come from and where you may want to stop off en-route.

We are happy to arrange, advise or just offer our support whichever option you choose.

* I want to do some shopping whilst I'm on the tour - some items may be large. Can I carry them with me on the tour?

There are many great opportunities for buying exciting and valuable souvenirs on many of our holidays. However, it is not always practical to carry large items around, especially if you are making train or boat journeys.

Most places can arrange for items (maybe a carpet or a rug!) to be shipped home at relatively low costs and this is usually a better and safer policy. Your guide and our local representatives will give you further information while you are on the trip, but if you have some specific ideas about what you want to purchase before you go, please do contact us for advice
