Director | Arctic & Antarctic specialist

A little background...

Over the last 20 years I've travelled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, The Middle East and Africa and have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience along the way. I've travelled using numerous modes of transport including on foot, by bicycle, on motorcycles, in a Land Rover, by cars, and by overland trucks to mention a few. The late 90s and early 2000s I spent organising overland and adventure tours both as a driver and operations manager. I love to travel and I'm never happier than when on the road travelling through new countries and experiencing new cultures.

Which regions do you specialise in?

I specialise in the Arctic & Antarctic and in Nepal, a country I love to visit.

What are your top 5 travel experiences?

  • Watching sunrise over the spectacular temples and palaces at Orcha in India.
  • Trekking up to Everest Base Camp, one of many fantastic treks I've enjoyed in the Nepalese Himalayas.
  • Crossing the Syrian Desert in a truck in the middle of the mother of all sandstorms.
  • Driving a 1992 Rover 218 across the Sahara desert to The Gambia for charity.
  • Standing on the rim of the Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania, Africa.

What would your dream holiday include?

It would have to be something unique and challenging - a grand adventure. It would need to include physical challenges as well as cultural ones, and take me to places I've never been before. But above all it just has to be fun!
