Visit the Indian Subcontinent

The Indian Subcontinent is alive with colourful sights & sounds, and an immensely rich cultural and natural heritage. From adventurous trekking in the Nepalese Himalayas, the unique Dzongs and Buddhist culture of Bhutan, India's vast size and diversity, to the compact and beautiful island of Sri Lanka, this region offers a wealth of fascinating travel experiences.

The Indian Subcontinent is steeped in history, and the birthplace of both the Hindu and Buddhist religions and one of the world's oldest civilizations. India itself is a true country of contrasts from ancient opulent palaces to overcrowded slums; from the young, rich socialites of Delhi to the street kids and beggars of Mumbai; from stunning mountain scenery to overcrowded cities. A holiday to India will always be memorable. Nepal offers a different attraction – the Himalays! A trekker’s paradise, this mountainous country has some of the world’s best and most challenging treks, including the popular Everest Base Camp route, which takes you to the foot of the highest mountain in the World. Nepal's lowland forests are also home to a fantastic array of wildlife including rhinos, elephants and tigers. Bhutan offers a more peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of modern day living and is a country seemingly untouched by time. Further south, Sri Lanka offers beautiful beaches, lush hillside tea estates and a rich Buddhist culture.

Nepal Cultural Holiday

Customer feedback for Nepal Cultural Tour

by J Lloyd, Uk. October 2010

Without doubt it is one of the best holidays I have been on. I have had a good think about any negatives and there are none. It was near perfect, from a super guide and bus driver to the fact that Nepal is so beautiful and interesting. The itinery was very well balanced.
What more can I say, except I would like to go back again.

Thank you for our tour in Bhutan

Bhutan Tour - Customer feedback

By Daniel Wallis, October 2010

Throughout the whole stages of our trip to Bhutan and Nepal I found Ralph and the team from Uncover the World, absolutely first class. Not only did they provide on-going answers to my barrage of questions, they also tailored our trip four or five times to ensure it was suited perfectly to our needs. The on-going information (around visas, hotels, travel arrangement, weather, what to bring....), was clear, precise and covered every question that we had. Once we booked our trip, unlike many other companies, Uncovered the World continued their care and communication with us, ensuring that everything to the most finest of detail was planned and ready. Everything in their control, ran as planned and even when a strike occurred in Nepal, Ralph called us at our Hotel and offered us a number of options as to maximise our trip as fully as possible. On returning back to the HK, we both agreed that Bhutan was a once in a lifetime destination and we had just experienced an unrivalled holiday. I wish to thank Ralph and his team for making this possible and for the excellent service they offered - it is rare that I write a recommendation, but on this occasion it is absolutely deserved

Nepal, Tibet & Bhutan Tour - best holiday ever!

The hotels, travelling arrangements etc., were all excellent and everything went like clockwork.

November 2010 by Ms Ann Logue

I would like to thank you for arranging such an incredible adventure for Ann and myself. We were both very impressed with the organisation of the whole trip and to date we think it is our best holiday ever. The hotels, travelling arrangements etc., were all excellent and everything went like clockwork. Ram in Nepal was an excellent guide as was Braccus (our guide in Kathmandu itself). Ramesh Maharjan our driver throughout Nepal was excellent and we both felt he was an incredible driver with all that traffic! We were so pleased to have him as our driver throughout our time in Nepal feeling totally safe with him at all times and would not hesitate to recommend him and Ram as a driver and guide. Both Ann and myself feel we have made new friends in Ramesh and Ram. They gave so much to our trip above and beyond the call of duty. Our trip to Tibet was equally excellent and our guide there by the name of Druja Kar again gave us so much above and beyond the call of duty. He educated us into the customs of Tibetans and was courteous and considerate at all times. Even when it was supposed to be free time he looked after us and took us to real Tibetan restaurants where the food was superb (no upset stomachs throughout the whole trip!). Again we would like to recommend him as a guide to any of your clients whether sightseeing or trekking. He is a wonderful character and his English is perfect along with being a kind and thoughtful person. Again we feel we have made a new friend in Druja. We would not hesitate to recommend your Company to any of our friends and would like to know if you cover Kerala and surrounding areas in India?

Golden Triangle

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday

2010 by Janyne & Ching Liu

The tour was well organised and included a wide range of sites and activities. All of the guides were extremely knowledgeable and spoke good English. The vehicle was great, well maintained and most importantly the air-conditioning worked. Sushil's driving was very good despite the challenging circumstances. The most enjoyable part was seeing a tiger in the wild!

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday Thanks!

India tailor-made

A wonderful holiday

2010 by Richard & Joanna Brocklesby

The tour was excellent, very good balance and flexibility. Pradan and Raj were excellent guides and Anil the driver was great. If we return to India agian we would hope he could drive us again. We were really well looked after, our driver was brilliant and we loved seeing tigers at Ranthambhore and visiting the Taj Mahal. All in all a wonderful holiday.
