Visit Egypt & The Middle East

Throughout history Egypt & the Middle East has been the centre of great civilisations. It is home to many of the world’s finest monuments, including the Great Pyramids, the rose city of Petra, and Baalbek in Lebanon. The Red Sea is also a mecca for divers from around the world.

The Middle East countries offer a wonder and colourful mix of culture, art and architecture. The region’s historic past is evident wherever you look, in the shape of massive Pharonic monuments, crumbling Roman ruins, colourful Byzantine art, hidden Nabatean cities, Islamic mosques and Christian churches. For those wanting to get off the tourist trail and see a little more of what the region has to offer there are plenty of interesting activities to choose from. Spending time travelling through the deserts and oases on a jeep or camel safari, overnight at a Bedouin camp, diving in the Red Sea, or a sailboat trek are just a few examples of what’s available. It’s also very easy to combine the more adventurous activities with the main historic sites, and to finish with some time relaxing by the Mediterranean or Red Sea.

Egyptian Explorer

An amazing tour made extra special by our Egyptologist guide

2010 by Mr P McClachlan, UK
The whole process from first booking to finally arriving home, was a fantastic experience.  If there was an option 'above excellent' I would have chosen it!  Mahmoud really made this tour - not just a guide, he was a friend.  He looked after us and gave us a real passion for Egypt.  A real credit to your organisation

A superb 10-day tour

We wanted the best possible tour of Ancient Egypt and Egypt Uncovered provided it.

by Brisbanite (TripAdvisor Review)
The tour guide was knowledgeable and spoke good English. We upgraded to a Pyramid view room at the Mena House Hotel and woke each morning with a pyramid almost filling our view. In the evening it took on the colours of the sunset.

Abu Simbel is a must, as is Medinat Habu - and of the superior travel companies I checked, Egypt Uncovered was the only one to include Medinat Habu on its normal itinerary.

The Nile Cruise boat was luxurious, clean and very comfortable. After all the horror stories we had heard about stomach upsets we were most impressed at the standard of hygiene and the meals we were served. The food was varied, attractive and very tasty. We had no upsets and it appeared no one else did either.

We went in July when the weather is at its hottest - and the crowds and queues at their smallest. It enabled us to experience some of the most stunning sites at our leisure and without being jostled. I would hate to be in the Valley of the Kings when it's busy. Yes, it was very hot but soaking wet towels over our heads were good coolers.

We could not fault the service provided by Egypt Uncovered.

A fabulous holiday in Egypt

from Garry D, UK. October 2010

Had a fabulous time in Egypt & it really couldn't have gone any better/smoother. The local reps/crew were excellent and in particular I would like to hold Mohammed Adbehahy out for special praise.

He was extremely professional, his local and specifically Egyptian knowledge was outstanding, he looked after us all brilliantly and always provided very clear direction/instructions which were very important issues for us. His English is very good and above all else he is an extremely likeable and personable man.

Top marks for local representation.

One other very favourable point was the excellent timekeeping in Egypt. We never had to wait for a single bus, coach or felucca.

Thx very much to everyone involved. I would definitely holiday with your company again.

Beirut City Break

Beirut City Break

7th October 2011 by James Plunkett

Efficient throughout the booking process. The travel arrangements in Beirut from pick up at the airport and at the hotel on both mornings to set down at the airport - all very punctual and efficient. The Plaza hotel was very good and I would definitely travel with Uncover the World again and recommend them to my friends.

Egypt Family Holiday

Thank you so much for such a wonderful holiday.

10 Feb 2012 by Mr John Gould

Dear Uncover the World,

We got back from our (long awaited) trip to Egypt on Sunday night, exhausted but having had the most enjoyable week away. Your team in Egypt ensured that everything went incredibly smoothly when we got out there. Abdo met us at the airport and organised everything to perfection in Cairo. He was very efficient and friendly and provided good, sensible information and advice for us. Our greatest thanks, though, must go to our tour guide Ahmed. He was absolutely superb. His knowledge and enthusiasm for all things Egyptian (ancient and modern) was brilliant, he was great fun with the children and his manner was lovely. He played tag with the children while we were wandering around the monuments and kept them entertained on the felucca.
They all absolutely loved him.

We were very fortunate that the sites were so quiet in Egypt as a result of the revolution. It meant that we did not have to contend with crowds of tourists- but we got no sense that it was unsafe anywhere. It is, however, such a shame for the people themselves, especially those in the tourist industry. Let's hope that travel to the country increases back up to previous levels soon.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful holiday.

From,
The Gould, Tomkins and Chedzoy families.
