Click here to view country map Tibet is truly the roof of the world, perched high in the Himalaya Mountains and stretching out across the Tibetan Plateau, it is famous for its stunning landscapes, historic architecture and unique Tibetan culture. With some of the highest mountains in the world, including a share of Mt Everest, and a long and deeply rooted Buddhist culture, this beautiful but harsh country makes an interesting and challenging destination to visit.
Tibet has a long list of ancient and fascinating places to visit. You can spend your time visiting, monasteries, temples, ancient villages, high altitude lakes and enjoy splendid mountain views. The capital city Lhasa, which literally means “Holy Land” is the heart of the country and offers plenty to see and do, including a trip to the spectacular Potala Palace, walking tours along Barkhor Street, and a visit to Drepung Monastery, one of the largest in the world. Excursions out of Lhasa include a visit to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet and beautifully ornate Tashilhunpo Monastery. Gorgeous turquoise blue lakes nestle in hidden valleys and high altitude passes connect the many winding river valleys, dotted with traditional villages and ornate monasteries all of which make great place to stop and send time relaxing and meeting the wonderfully friendly locals.
More active travellers can enjoy fantastic trekking, rafting and mountain biking. Treks to Everest Base camp are popular and a visit to the famous Rongbuk monastery is a highlight of the trek. With a large number of world class rafting rivers, Tibet has plenty of challenging river trips available, and mountain biking is also a popular activity to try.

I would like to thank you for arranging such an incredible adventure for Ann and myself. We were both very impressed with the organisation of the whole trip and to date we think it is our best holiday ever. The hotels, travelling arrangements etc., were all excellent and everything went like clockwork. Ram in Nepal was an excellent guide as was Braccus (our guide in Kathmandu itself). Ramesh Maharjan our driver throughout Nepal was excellent and we both felt he was an incredible driver with all that traffic! We were so pleased to have him as our driver throughout our time in Nepal feeling totally safe with him at all times and would not hesitate to recommend him and Ram as a driver and guide. Both Ann and myself feel we have made new friends in Ramesh and Ram. They gave so much to our trip above and beyond the call of duty. Our trip to Tibet was equally excellent and our guide there by the name of Druja Kar again gave us so much above and beyond the call of duty. He educated us into the customs of Tibetans and was courteous and considerate at all times. Even when it was supposed to be free time he looked after us and took us to real Tibetan restaurants where the food was superb (no upset stomachs throughout the whole trip!). Again we would like to recommend him as a guide to any of your clients whether sightseeing or trekking. He is a wonderful character and his English is perfect along with being a kind and thoughtful person. Again we feel we have made a new friend in Druja. We would not hesitate to recommend your Company to any of our friends and would like to know if you cover Kerala and surrounding areas in India?
