Tailor-made holidays in Tanzania

Sitting in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania offers some of the world’s best wildlife viewing, and is home to the world renowned Serengeti National Park; famous for its annual migrations of more than 2 million animals. It’s not only the wildlife that attracts visitors to Tanzania. Climbing Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, will test even the fittest, and the Indian Ocean offers fantastic diving opportunities, pristine beaches and tropical islands.

The main attractions for tourists visiting the country are the Serengeti, home to annual migrations of over two million animals, and the Ngorongoro crater, one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles. In addition to these famous reserves, Tanzania also has many other, less visited parks that are well worth including in your itinerary. The Selous Game Reserve – one of the world’s largest fauna reserves; Ruaha National Park – Tanzania’s largest national park; Tarangire National Park – famous for its huge herds of elephants & abundance of baobab trees; and Lake Manyara – home to baboons, hippos, elephants, impala, wildebeest, giraffe, buffalo and warthogs. Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak rises elegantly from the Masai landscape in the north of the country and the snow-capped peak lures tourists looking for a little more physical challenge. There are a number of routes to the summit, with the most scenic, but steepest route being the Machame route, which can usually be done in 6 to 7 days.

Tanzania’s exciting land based activities aren’t all the country has to offer, the Indian Ocean coast in the East of the country offers some world-class dive sites. Due to the countries lack of infrastructure the main dive centres are located around Dar Es Salaam and the main islands of Mafia, Pemba and Zanzibar. However, the dive sites are varied and challenging and well suited for beginners right through to experienced divers.

We offer a wide range of suggested holiday itineraries in Tanzania, all which can be customised to create your perfect tailor-made trip. Many of our holiday itineraries can be joined together to create longer multi-activity breaks. Tanzania can also be included in a multi-country trip visiting Kenya and Uganda. African Family Safari - Everyone had a great time

All went smoothly and our guide, Jackson, was very good.

July 2011 by Mrs. Nerida Alsop

Thanks for your help in organizing.  David filled in the survey before we left and gave it to the driver.  All went smoothly and our guide, Jackson, was very good.  We got to see all the animals and were able to take loads of photos.  Jackson was very knowledgable of the animals and the parks.  He was a safe driver and was considerate of us and the animals.  We also enjoyed the driving between parks as we got to see more of Kenya and how people lived.  All of the accommodation was good and the same standard wherever we went.  No shortage of food at meal times.  The trip was well paced and just the right length.
