Our company history

Uncover the World Ltd. was formed in early 2005, and is the culmination of many years of its directors' and staffs' experience in operating and enjoying tours and travel around the world.  

Our love of travel and the countries in which we operate began in the mid 1990s with the planning, running and driving of overland expeditions throughout the Middle East and Central Asia. During that period we operated under the name New Frontier Expeditions and successfully organised many fantastic truck-based trips. In 2000 we decided to take the company in a new direction and formed First48 Ltd., which used our intimate country knowledge to produce a comprehensive website and gradually expand our services on offer, to produce a full range of cultural and adventure tours for both small-groups and tailor-made clients.

In 2003 we launched the Egypt Uncovered website, which showcases our diverse range of cultural and adventure tours in Egypt. In the years since, Egypt Uncovered has grown to become one of the countries leading specialist Egypt tour operators offering a wide range of small group adventure tours.

In September 2005, we changed our name to Uncover the World and began expanding our range of tours into new and inspiring destination, concentrating on private and tailor-made holidays.

Today we arrange private and tailor made itineraries to many destinations worldwide through our Uncover the World website. We also organise small group adventures through our Egypt Uncovered, Nepal Uncovered and Thailand Uncovered websites.

Our latest adventure is our brand new Adventure Fishing Holidays website, which better showcases our wide range of exciting fishing holidays.
